Our behaviour consultation service is run by Chirag Patel, BSc(Hons), PG Cert (CAB), CPBC, DipCABT. Chirag is an Animal Behaviour & Training Council (ABTC) Registered Accredited Animal Behaviourist. He is an internationally respected and his clients include celebrities and the general public. 

Our service uses a practical approach based on scientific evidence focusing on the use of applied behaviour analysis (ABA). We work closely with your family to analyse the problem behaviour(s) and environment(s), then teach you how to manage and modify these. 

We see both companion and exotic animals for behaviour consultations. 

Our consultations are usually carried out at your home, where your pet and you are most comfortable. We can offer consultations away from your home if requested, so please speak to our office about this. 

During the visit, our consultant will assess the environment and behaviour, which may involve visiting a local park or going out on the street. Following this, they will work with you to devise a personalised plan that will help you manage and change your pet's behaviour. 

Did you know that if your pet is insured you may be able to claim some or all of the costs back from your insurance providers. 

Available package: Included initial assessment, behavior modification & Training sessions, and follow-up.

Step 1: Obtain a referral from your veterinary practice

Step. 2: Zoom consultation with Chirag Patel (up to 45 minutes).

Step 3: Home visit* or Zoom Behaviour Modification / Training (up to 90 minutes)

Step 4: Follow-up sessions/support (up to 90 minutes, can be split into multiple, shorter sessions as best suits the individual case.)

Further sessions can be purchased for £160 per hour thereafter.

*Please note that this package includes one complimentary travel for a home visit which is within 30 minutes of travel from RM6.

For further and additional travel there is a fee. There will be a mileage and time charge applied to your booking to account for travel expenses from the RM6 postcode. 
Mileage: There will be £0.50 per mile charge for return journeys. 
Time: There will be £30 per hour charge for return journeys. 

You may be able to claim the cost or some of the costs of this service on your pet’s insurance policy.
